Reformer Pilates in Malvern

Where can I do reformer Pilates in Malvern?

We run reformer classes at VEA Studios, within Manor Park Sports Club on Albert Road North, Malvern, WR14 2TL. Classes are 50 minutes, with a 30-minute Express and private 1-to-1 sessions. We’re reformer only, so we don’t run mat classes.

Where to find us

We’re within the grounds of Manor Park Sports Club on Albert Road North. It’s worth knowing that we’re a studio inside the club site rather than our own building, because that’s the thing you’ll most want to know the first time you come.

The Malvern Hills are right on the doorstep, which is lovely to look at and a genuinely good place to walk on the days you’re not with us.

What to weigh up

How the teacher trained
The most useful question you can ask, and the one people ask least. Training varies hugely in length and depth.
How big the class is
Reformer classes are capped by the number of beds. Fewer women means more attention, and it’s a fair thing to ask before you book.
Whether there’s a beginner class
A studio that runs a real beginner class, rather than a mixed one, has thought about how you actually start.
The feel of the room
Some studios are loud and quick, others quiet and instructional. Neither is better, but they suit very different people.

How we do things

We trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, an established teacher-training provider with an evidence-based approach. Meg is a physiotherapist by profession, which is why we chose that route. Our classes are exercise instruction rather than physiotherapy, and we keep that line firmly.

We’re family-run, by an auntie and a niece, and we teach the way we’d want to be taught: unhurried, explained, and never intimidating.
